Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race
15th Annual Blue Ridge Mtn Adventure Race
New!
Elite & Sport Races
In the spring of 1998, the Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race began
as Georgia’s first adventure race. Fifteen years later the race
continues to be a favorite of racers throughout the Southeast. Teams
look forward to a new adventure each year welcoming spring to Georgia's
Blue Ridge Mountains. Organizers of the 15th Annual Blue Ridge Mountain
Adventure Race on April 14, 2012, promise a challenging contest with
lots of surprises and some of the most stunning scenery anywhere -- plus
two race formats to choose from.
The Elite Race
is like the traditional Blue Ridge race experienced teams love, with a six to ten hour finish.
The new Sport Race
will offer teams a shorter four to six
hour course. The 15th annual race will once again finish in downtown
Blue Ridge Park in front of The Art Center. Plan to enjoy a post-race
party in the park, reception and meal for racers and support. You can
buy extra tickets for family members when you register.
Trophies will be presented to co-ed teams of three and masters teams
of three in the Elite Race; and to co-ed teams of three in the Sport
Race. Open teams of two and three will receive a finish time and
finisher award. Of course, everyone gets lots of great swag!
So get your team ready to run, paddle, mountain bike and navigate
in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. Up to 100 teams of two or
three (plus one support person) will run along the forested trails of
the Chattahoochee National Forest, paddle on the Toccoa River and/or
Lake Blue Ridge, mountain bike steep trails and complete mystery
challenges along the way.
Online registration is available through Active.com; just click on Registration!
